On July 11th 2011, my community came together to support the Terre Haute Police Department as K9 Officer Brent Long and his partner Shadow came under fire while assisting the US Marshalls serving a warrant. Shadow was shot in the jaw, but sadly, Ofc. Long died in the line of duty.
So if you are in the Hoosier State and love ya some Buffalo Wild Wings, please mention that you’d like to support Ofc. Long’s family to your server. The following locations are donating 10% of the proceeds from lunch and dinner services on Monday nights now through September 26th to Ofc. Long’s family. The following BW3’s are involved:
Terre Haute
Evansville (Green River & Eagle Plaza)
Plainfield
Clarksville, Indiana
Lawrence, Indiana

Thanks to some intel received from MyLitter.com reader Gina S., some Walgreens have Pampers Easy Ups on clearance. If you use the $1.50 off coupon from the June P&G book, you could get it as low as $1.69!
This may or may not be the case for the Walgreens in your area, but if you have one, grab your binders and check it out!

I went to the Starbucks last night @ Intech Park here in Indy to soothe my frazzled nerves with some cold coffee. I noticed their special that they were giving guests a free tall beverage when they buy any flavor of Iced Via coffee (the new Caramel one is delicious). The special was supposed to start tomorrow, June 14th, and go through the 17th. Well the nice folks there gave me my free Tall drink YESTERDAY as part of the special! Talk about being @ the right place @ the right time

Found a couple of great articles from MSN Money contributor Donna Freedman that I wanted to post here. These really represent the main reason that I wanted to add the Coupon Nerd to the family of Nerdy Girl Inc., to pay it forward for the education I’ve seen on the show Extreme Couponing. Granted it does show some of the weird and wacky, but it also shows some of the wonderful things couponers are doing with their stockpiles that don’t get a lot of air-time, and should.
The Coupon Nerd is not here to talk smack or point fingers or nothing like that. We are going to be positive couponers. We are going to show you how to do this, how to level your expectations, how to do this right, and how to save. Bottom line.
Okay, I’m off my soapbox now
On to the articles

I took a break today and went to the Noodles & Company on 86th Street here in Indy for lunch. I looked in the bag at what I thought was a menu, but at the bottom there is a BOGO for Noodles, Salad, Sandwich or a Trio. If you have one near you, get out there today and get your BOGOs! BTW, I highly recommend the Tuscan Linguine with Shrimp
